Ibis Cardiff Centre Hotel

Excellent hotel with free wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and a cozy lounge area. I remember how the staff helped me with a food delivery number on my first stay. Highly recommend it for a city trip!

Perfect and excellent location, we appreciated staying here.

There's no complains at all, had a very good stay for one night. The hotel was reasonably clean and had very attentive and exceptionally attentive staff. The breakfast was good hot and all the food was outstanding.

Beds were very comfortable. location is wonderful.

The restaurant was clean for simple meals here, I had tasty dishes. The bathroom was brilliant, the bed was very clean. The location was perfect as a museum and a cinema were near the hotel. Also, it was near nightclubs and restaurants.

We enjoyed exploring Cardiff's attractions, especially the nearby castle. The hotel's location is fantastic for a family visit, just a short walk to restaurants and shopping. The staff were very friendly and the room wassuper clean and cozy for our kids.

In my wife's opinion, the breakfast choices could cater better to families.

Just a solid selection for a short break in Cardiff with very nice value for money. Had to ask for clean cups, a slight hassle.

The lack of convenient parking directly at the hotel was a hassle, with my nearby option costing £20 for a night. I also faced noise from the railway line right outside my window, difficult to sleep, as trains passed frequently, especially in the early morning. The pillows were uncomfortably hard, detracting from the otherwise decent bed quality. A bathroom door required a tough pull to close it properly. I found the condition of some furnishings to be lackluster, showing signs of age that felt below standard for the cost.

The shower was adequate, but the stained bedding was disappointing.

I arrived at the Ibis in Cardiff just after noon, excited for my stay. From the start, the staff impressed me. A polite young man arranged for my room to be on the ground floor due to my mobility issues. He quickly handed me the keys since my room was ready early. The room itself felt spacious and clean, although I heard trains during the day from the nearby line, but it didn't disturb my sleep. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest. Breakfast offered a great variety, including cereal, pastries, and cooked options, which I loved. I appreciated the fresh fruit and flavored water available throughout the day. On check-out, storing my luggage while I explored was super convenient for just £2. The location was central, very close to the station and town. The staff were friendly. One drawback was the noise from the trains. Some soundproofing between rooms could improve the experience further. This hotel delivered a satisfying and restful stay, perfect for city exploring.

We explored the excellent steam locomotives nearby and enjoyed walks by the reservoir. The staff were super friendly, and the breakfast was delicious! We even managed to chill at a great café for a bite.

The only downside was the limited space outside for stopping when we arrived.

Clean room, comfortable bed, the breakfast options were plentiful with both hot and cold selections available, and the location was convenient, just a 1 km walk from the central station.
